4EV is one of the Netherlands’ first webshops which sells charging cables for electric vehicles. Dennis Evers, 4EV’s CEO, first worked in infrastructure. Afterwards he moved to IT and software development. Dennis always enjoyed E-commerce. In 2016 Dennis had the idea to start a business focused on electric vehicles. Which is when he founded 4EV. As of 2018 EV also started selling charging stations. 4EV’s USPs are focused on being the total solution for electric vehicles.
BEFORE working with GMU:
The Google Ads campaigns were focused on generic search terms and search terms with a high search volume. Which is why there were expensive bids to even be able to have a chance of getting a sale. 4EV had a very high cost per acquisition. At the same time, shopping campaigns weren’t focused on product categories or split into product groups.
SINCE working with GMU: All campaigns are now focused on being data-driven. Meaning that each individual campaign is now monitored. Google Shopping campaigns are now sorted correctly and the return on investment has increased significantly.

The previous marketing agency was not the right fit for Dennis. Which is why he decided to personally manage the Google Ads account. Until he met GMU at thé marketing fair in the Netherlands.
At GMU we decided to focus on increasing the revenue from Google Ads and working on improving the way Google Shopping was set up. With our big data software we are able to target product specific keywords, meaning we reduced the cost-per-click (CPC) while increasing the revenue. Our big data software checks the bids every day. Meaning all products were not specified and described properly. After they saw my success I started getting copied. This meant I had to differentiate to become more unique. Which is where my marketing efforts come in.”
